BASIC DRAWING — A TWO-PART SERIES

Good drawing skills are foundational to good painting, regardless of medium. With this two-part series (4 hours total instruction), students improve their outcome for successful paintings.Topics covered here include basic perspective in 1-2-3-point; simplified shape formation; sketches for pre-plan painting; and values and tone to create 3-D effect.

Supply list: a 4H (hard) and 4B (soft) pencil, kneaded eraser, 9 x 12 sketchbook, and a 12” ruler
